About Courses

Board certified in family medicine, Ana M. Negrón, M.D. has made cooking with whole plants integral to her practice for more than two decades. By transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle, her patients are able to reduce inflammation at the root of their illness, the need for many medications, and recover much health.

Negrón was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she went to medical school, and did her residency at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia. She owns Practice Wellness: Beyond a Wish, a solo nutrition consultation; volunteers at a free clinic for the uninsured; and teaches young resident physicians how a whole food plant-based diet can help treat and even reverse chronic disease. She lectures extensively and leads weekly bilingual virtual and in person educational programs.

Dr. Ana Negrón serves on the board of the T.Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and collaborates with its Spanish content program. She completed the CNS certificate on Plant Nutrition and the course on Food and Sustainability; vegan for 38 years, she has been a member of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) since 1990.

Sunstone Press published her book, "Nourishing the Body and Recovering Health: The Positive Science of Food"—an antidote to our persistent reliance on pharmaceuticals. Two upcoming books titled "We Create Health One Truth At A Time" and "Creamos Salud Una Verdad A La Vez" will be published this year.
